About the Role
We’re hiring a sharp, resourceful, and ambitious Chief of Staff to work alongside the COO and full executive team. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role at the center of a fast-growing, venture-backed SaaS company supporting company-wide execution, driving strategic initiatives, and helping the business scale with clarity, speed, and focus.
This is not a role for spectators. You’ll take on high-leverage, cross-functional work ranging from modeling and analysis to special projects, board and fundraising prep, internal communication and coordination, and operational planning. You’ll be trusted with complex, sensitive work that demands precision, urgency, and calm under pressure.

What You’ll Do
Act as a thought partner to the COO and exec team, driving clarity, alignment, and momentum on top priorities
Own and execute cross-functional special projects, often undefined or first-of-their-kind for Numa
Build business cases and financial models to guide decisions across product, GTM, operations and growth
Prepare materials and analysis for board meetings, investor updates and fundraising processes
Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks—bringing structure and follow-through to key initiatives
Run and improve executive operating rhythms: exec meetings, quarterly planning, all-hands communications
Keep the exec team focused, informed and connected—ensuring decisions lead to outcomes
Qualifications
2–4 years at a top-tier consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain), investment bank or strategy/ops role in a high-growth tech environment
MBA preferred or equivalent high-ownership, high-output experience
Highly analytical and fluent in Excel/Sheets and PowerPoint/Slides
Exceptional communication skills: able to distill complex issues for varied audiences
Proven ability to work quickly and decisively under pressure
High-capacity, self-driven and comfortable owning multiple workstreams simultaneously
Low ego, collaborative and dependable in ambiguous environments
Nice to Have
Experience in SaaS, B2B tech or a venture-backed startup
Familiarity with Google Suite, AI tools, reporting and project management platforms
Interest in eventually stepping into a GM, product or operational leadership role
Based in or near the Bay Area (Oakland HQ, on BART)
